Probably did not have that much exposure to other orangutans and they did say the zookeeper who cared for him had blonde hair....she probably had tattoos too. There was a female gibbon at the zoo I went to as a kid that REALLY liked my mom. Whenever she saw my mom, she would RUN to the glass and just state at her. My mom said she probably just looked like the person who took care of her.
