God knows this sort of thing happens every day of the week I suppose 
but yesterday's SF Chronicle gave this a large inside-the-Metro-section story...and I'm a bit struck by it happening in Charles Schulz's town!! ! 
I mean, Peanuts was about the human characters', anyway, misery...Anyway, awful. My condolences to all involved .
It would appear the chronology is that the father ODd first, then his child ingested the " party favors " .
