Trump Absolute Right?

Do you believe that Trump and any other President has an absolute right to ask or suggest that a forigen government investigate anybody he wants to investigate as he has tweeted? If so or if you do not please explain why you feel this way.

What's happening now is not that he didn't slither to the Russians or Ukrainians to ask for dirt on his opponents (I think we know he did the wrong thing).

The question is what type of punishment can be exacted on a standing POTUS. Here's where his opponents are getting stuck. It would seem his own party doesn't have the will to remove him and the evidence collected hasn't had him impeached.

I am waiting to see what a standing POTUS has to do to be impeached?

For the national interest yes, for personal gain no. We elected him to help us not himself

He doesn’t give two s**ts about “corruption in Ukraine.” All he wanted to do was to dig up dirt on his rival Biden.

I’m hoping this Impeachment thing makes him lose the usually Democratic states which he won in 2016. States he won by less than 50,000 votes. If that happens, it’s bye-bye Trump!

Plus some potential state indictments which might be coming his way.

I would think the president (executive branch) military, FBI, CIA can ask anyone to investigate anyone regarding a potential crime.

Trump can do no wrong----whatsoever----according to those who follow him. Despite evidence to the contrary which is staring them in the face.

What makes people worship Trump, anyway?

I wouldn't say that I'm the "follower" of any candidate, per se. Anybody could "do wrong." I would never blindly follow anybody.

Likewise in the eyes of others Trump can do no right.

Also it seems like they blindly accept anything his opponents/enemies come up with against him.

Meanwhile being skeptical of what looks like sheer desperation in a three year attempt to impeach him equals somehow worship.

Of course Trump does "right" things.

Anybody----even the worst mass murderer---does "right" things.

Obviously, Trump is not a mass murderer. He's just some guy I don't want as President.

He might not actually be a bad guy. But he is an obsessive one, an obsessive tweeter. He went too far in trying to discredit his main rival, Biden. He might have even overestimated him.

He should have just left it alone; he might have still won the 2020 election had he just left it alone.

But he didn't....and therein lies the problem now.

Which quite frankly sounds like a verbatim scripted sounding comment I often see others repeating.

It might seem "scripted"---but it's how I feel.

I sense the existence of people who feel Trump can "do no wrong."

I just don't like folks who attract a "devoted following." It bothers me.

If Joseph Biden had a "devoted following" like Trump apparently does, it would bother me.

I don't notice that the Bidens have done anything that OSAMA BIN LADEN has done.

I just feel that Trump is seeking to make himself win the next election----through any means "necessary."

There might be some rabid Obama supporters----but very few with the intensity of Trump's supporters.

I have a critical view of Obama. I don't feel he can do "no wrong." He was, by no means, the best President we ever had.

But at least he's now trying to screw with the Constitution the way Trump is seeking to screw with the Constitution.
