Washington Nationals win world series

The Washington Nationals won game seven of a seven game series against the Houston Astro's 6 to 2 to win there first world series in franchise history.
his is the first time a Washington,DC team has won the world series since 1924.

Congratulations to members of their organization and fans.

This was the first 7 game playoff series in Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and the National Basketball Association where the road team won all the games.

In the spirit of Halloween this Nationals kept on metaphorically coming back from the dead. They lost their most talented player to free agency, They started the season with 18 wins and 31 losses, they won 5 games where if they had lost they would have been eliminated and in each of those games they came from behind late in the game to win.

Speaking of their former most talented player Bryce Harper has to be feeling really bad right about now.
