Angela Merkel is pledging one billion Euros for electric busses in Delhi but I wonder if clean busses driving past burning piles of garbage every morning is going to touch the sides. The garbage gets swept up off dust roads then burnt on the street. There are 120 million migrant workers on the move every year across India, presumably not on Delhi's busses, more likely crammed onto trucks and you can buy a new car for around $2500, top of many people's shopping list.
