Ex-cop charged in death of his wife

Here is another local story,something right out a real crime tv show.

Retired Westfield,MA police officer Brian Fanion was indicted for murder of his wife Amy Fanion.Procecutors allege he shot her in the head and made it look like a suicide.

He was arrested 17 months after her death,Brian Fanion reported to police that he stopped at home during his lunch break and he and his wife argued,and that she shot herself in the head while he was in the bathroom.

The shooting was initially regarded as a suicide but Massachusetts state police found Fanion's account of the story suspect.Fanion had begun an extramarital affair two months before his wife's death.
