If you're riding in a car with a blind drunk driver it might be a toss up between staying in the car, and just bailing out. And maybe he had one hand on the wheel, and the on her sexually assaulting her.

I dunno. Am just being the Devil's advocate.

Have you seen the traffic on the I 495 beltway in metro Boston,I'd take staying in the car with a drunk driver over jumping onto the road.

Based on preliminary reports, there are several unanswered questions about this incident in Plainville.  The accident is still under investigation by authorities.  They haven't disclosed any more specifics about circumstances of the incident, and the woman’s identity hasn’t been released.  Monsini faces serious criminal charges for driving under the influence, which may include jail time.

Although liability appears clear in this case, during the course of its investigation, authorities will piece together exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the 26-year-old’s injuries in the incident, including why she attempted to flee the vehicle.  Investigators will also reveal the test results to determine the blood-alcohol content of Monsini.

To jump out onto I495 even at 1 in the morning,a person would have to be insane or in serious trouble inside the car.If all the guy was was drunk she must then be crazy.

It is hard to imagine a scenario in which ...jumping out of the window of a car going 60 or 80 on the beltway around your city would seem...like a good idea.

If you were a small person, and the person who was driving turned out to be Ted Bundy, or Daumier, and you became certain that he was abducting you to - torture you death in his home- then - what could you do?

You could grab the steering wheel and crash the car, or pull out the ignition key… but that would be risky. When the lady gets out of her coma in the hospital maybe she can remember what happened.

Did she jump, or was she "car surfing"?

In and around Los Angeles, I sometimes see young people sitting on the car door with the window rolled down -- their legs are inside, and their bodies are outside of the car. Are they drunk? Maybe … I don't know …

I often wonder what would happen if one of them would slip and fall off/out of the car.

Maybe now we know.

I recall the NECN article saying she crawled out a window, something must have been going on to make her do that,or she was crazy.

Most people would rather be in a car with a drunk driver than be in the center lane of the I 495 beltway,we will likely never know what truely happened, the necn article has not been updated as of today, most local news is taking a back seat to the big murder trial in Boston thats in the hands of a jury now.
