Woman 77 stabs intruder

A Chicopee man who reportedly broke into a residence in Chesterfield early saturday morning was stabbed in the abdomen by 77 year old woman who owns the house.

Adam A. Lord Jr. was arraigned in Hampshire county district court on multiple charges monday morning,breaking and entering,stealing a car and drunk driving.

The home owner,Rita Harris 77,told police she stabbed Lord in self defense.

Around 4:20 am state troopers were dispatched to 75 monson rd. for reports of an active breaking and entering.
