Grafton Massachusetts police commend the quick actions of Chris Etre,who helped woman escape from car that went into a river.
Chris Etre was driving by the river at Worcester st and Wheeler road when he pulled over to help,observed the crash,entered the water and broke a rear window helping the passenger escape before the vehicle became fully submerged.

Without this rapid intervention the outcome could have been tragic,Grafton police said.It appears the car was driving around 10pm and slid on black ice.
