U.S. Coast Guard leaders last year reprimanded an officer who used a similar hand sign during a television broadcast.

Well this certainly validates the swastika tattoos I saw on US navy personnel frolicking in a hotel pool stationed in San Diego back in 2009. Cultural problem?

Yeah you being the only person on earth who has reported seeing swastika tattoos on US Navy personnel validates it all. Too bad you didn't take any pics. They would have made headline news.

The three fingers that are extended are made to look like the letter "W", so in turn "W" for white.

Most people in the Armed Forces aren't into "White Power."

Most people who go to West Point and the Naval Academy aren't into "White Power."

If a person going to either Academy would be found to be a member of that sort of organization, they would be booted out like nobody's business.

It's the idiots who make it bad for the rest of us.
