LONDON REUTERS

British lawmakers are expected later on thursday to approve legislation which would allow the country to leave the EU ON 1-31-20 with an exit deal, ending more than three years of wrangling over terms of the divorce.

At around 1700 GMT Boris Johnson will turn the page on one of Britain's deepest political crises in decades when parliament's lower house votes to approve legislation that will implement an exit deal agreed with the EU last year.

The legislation will then head to the house of Lords and is expected to become law in coming weeks with enough time to leave before 1-31.

When Britain fi-i-irst, at heaven's command,
Aro-o-o-ose from out the a-a-a-zure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian a-a-angels sang this strain:
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
The nations, no-o-o-o-ot so blest as thee,
Must i-i-i-i-in their turn, to ty-y--yrants fall,
Must in their turn, to ty-y-rants fall,
While thou shalt flourish,…

The highlighted bit is what Nigel Farage managed to convince the British public would happen if they stayed in the EU
