A connecticut man convicted of killing his wife and feeding her body parts to a wood chipper has been released from prison 20 years early.

Richard Crafts was sentenced to 50 years in prison in 1990 by a judge who commented on his lack of remorse.

Crafts was recently released and is living in a half way house, a department of corrections spokesperson has said.

82 year old Crafts had been in prison since his 1987 arrest,a law in place at the time allowed for time off for good behavior, that law has been since changed.

A Norwalk superior court jury ruled that Crafts killed his wife Helle,at there Newtown home in 1986,prosecutor's said he cut up the body with a chain saw and fed the parts to a wood chipper.

Was his wife released from death? Then it would be fair.

His wife Helle was a Danish national and a flight attendant for an international airline, she was quite beautifull. The story was featured on one of those true crime TV shows,it is a sad story.

Article didn't say but intensive parole is usually like 90 days, then regular probation takes over but I'm not really sure.I think he is on a life term so probation would be lifetime,or what little he has left of it.

Paroled literally means he's been well behaved in prison so released early
