There are a lot of unethical or bad doctors, true, as I had 3, my mom had some, and my friend had (as she has chronic illness, EDS, which the medical system attempts to dismiss in her experience). However nurses, the majority, I consider To be the best group of people on earth.
My sons current best nurse had been talking to me last week about how strange it is that they asked nurses (and another request to the general public via news), to please collect and donate gloves etcto the hospitals.
She showed me the letter she had received and shared with everyone - (it was also saying to nurses, if you know construction workers dentists etc, plz tell them to donate gloves and masks)
So she was saying it's strange that the anticipated surge of cases hasn't even come yet (in our province, last week) yet they are already running short .
It's possible they arent actually running short yet but are preparing in advance to stock up.
But she was saying they get a lot of money donated as well (which is true) and it was still strange
It's how I feel about Sick Kids, and my sons therapist told me as well: they get millions upon millions in donations not just from Canadians but international donors. What angers her is she knows of mismanagement of that money
What frustrates me is that despite all that $$ many areas and most entrances are inaccessible for wheelchairs!! Ive had so many issues when taking my son there over the years. Their parking lot sucks too and they still charge parents so much for it.
Often, parking is overcrowded and you have to park outside or in other parking lots and walk all thr way-- but if you parkin an area that isnt the main entrance it isnt wheelchair accessible and in fact u are confronted with stairs outsidr ANDinside with no ramps
AND they dont even have the thing where you push the button and it opens (with the wheelchair symbol)--which even small restaurants manage to have!! Frustrating.
