For anyone in the world to use after both federal governments from Canada and the USA were not interested.

Maybe other countries won’t ignore this and it’ll save lives. Or maybe some provinces, states, or even local health authorities or hospitals will go ahead and use it. Heck, maybe some geeks will build their own for home use even.

Seems monumentally stupid that he’s being ignored right now. Probably because of testing/approvals as well as protecting large medical device corporations’ profits.

Maybe Italy, Spain, and others will embrace and benefit from this. Hopefully someone does.

I wish the guy luck.

I hope he finds a distributor and manufacturer.

At this point he doesn’t even want one - making it open source and free for anyone to use is because he just wants it to save lives during this crisis, even if he makes zero dollars from it. Which is awesome.

He needs a manufacturer and a distributor for his invention to have any effect.

He offered it to the feds. They can easily forward design plans to GM and say under the Procurement Defence Act, make these Now.

Same as Canada could do but also chose not to - likely to protect the profits of the biomedical industry partners they already have contracts with.

It’s always about money and rarely about saving lives.

The only chance this invention has of helping during this crisis is if some other country decides to put emergency triage ahead of business relationships and profits.
