The DTES (downtown East side) of Vancouver.

7,000 people live in SRO’s (single room occupancy hotels) where an entire floor shares one communal washroom, which often has no soap at all. Another 3,000 people live on the surrounding streets.

Worried it’s coming? Fake news! Reports are it’s already there and despite the best efforts of government, outreach organizations, charities and churches collectively spending $1M Per Day on the DTES for decades, conditions have only gotten worse and there is sweet F all any of them can do to prevent the catastrophe that’s unfolding there Right Now.

I predict that the DTES of Vancouver will have the highest C-19 death toll in the country.

They still are dying, and going to die, in greater numbers, but it’s never been gleeful. I’ve said several times, I don’t WANT to be correct, but with each news release about various state & federal bungled responses and inactions to mitigate this pandemic it becomes ever more obvious that the American death toll is going to be significantly higher than any other industrialized nation. That’s not glee. That’s simply pointing out what’s becoming ever more obvious for all to see.

Sure, USA's mortality rate is higher than Canada's, but there are twelve countries with even higher mortality rates; why aren't you bagging on them, eh?

Of people sick with the virus, of course.

So, meaningless denominator because no country has accurate counts of infection numbers, resulting in useless information.

That data came from Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, Coronovirus Research Center.

And where did they get their data from?

We know damned well that very few people are being tested. Most people who get this virus just recover from it at home, no testing, no tallying. So it’s impossible to know the true number of infected anywhere, especially here.

Here, ONLY frontline healthcare workers and those connected to an outbreak at a seniors home are being tested. And Maybe those who are hospitalized with severe symptoms. Otherwise nope, zero testing. People are advised to stay home and self quarantine if they have any symptoms at all but don’t require medical assistance to breathe.

So how can thread numbers be at all accurate or comparable to one another? Canada’s position on the chart could be dramatically different if number of cases were accurate. So could every other country’s - especially since each has different testing protocols as to who gets tested.

Funny how someone who's been going on about per capita death percentages between two countries, goes on to say such data is unreliable.

C-19 is going to spread like wildfire amongst the extremely poor mentally ill drug and alcohol addicted population of Vancouver’s DTES many are going to die.

There are ~10,000 people there right now. With living conditions the way they are, almost all of them are likely to get C-19, and with underlying conditions combined with volume of infections all at once, Canada’s most vulnerable population is about to be largely wiped out. Or at the very least suffer a very high death toll.

Per capita death toll is 100% reliable.

The bottom line number of C-19 deaths va known population size = accurate apples to apples comparison.

It doesn’t rely on unreliable numbers like # of infections. Only death toll vs population.

Tell it to Trudeau.
