He was diagnosed 10 days ago, hospitalized yesterday.
This scenario where by the patient is mild for a significant period of time then suddenly worsens is common with COVID-19. Scary stuff.

Another atypical aspect of this new virus. I know cold and influenza viruses aren't the same, but both come on fast and are typically over in a week or so. Scary that this virus takes so long to gain traction.

Complications can arise with influenza over time as well. A person relapses or takes a turn for the worse. Probably usually when it develops into pneumonia. There was a time when I got sick and over the course of over a couple of weeks it got worse, and then started getting better and then suddenly got worse again to where I ended up in the hospital with what finally became double pneumonia and nearly died. Took a long time to fully recover. I missed a good chunk of a semester over it.
It says in the article that he was moved into intensive care as a precaution.

Reality Check verdict: There are 17,000 fewer NHS England beds since 2010. About half of these are general hospital beds - there has also been a significant reduction in mental health beds. This, though, is part of a long-term trend which has seen a decline in the numbers of beds since the 1980s.
Short presentational grey line According to NHS England figures , there were 144,455 overnight NHS beds available between April-June 2010, falling to 127,225 in July-September 2019.
In other words, a drop of about 17,000.

You can’t put all that krap on Boris as he’s only been in charge a few months in which time he’s done marvellous things
