As demonstrated by these cases,the Chinese government uses exchanges with US schools and research institutions to access cutting edge research equipment.

There was also a doctoral student somewhere in the NE that stole cancer research materials from his colleague, hid it in his sock, and was arrested at the airport. Similar scenario to the above mentioned; it may be the same one from Boston.
