Same fire could have been started by a discarded cigarette butt.

But yes...I don't operate heavy machinery with spinning blades while I am drinking screwdrivers.I do one thing, or I do the other. Not both at the same time. So you would think that he could have waited until quitting time to toke up.

There was guy that a friend of mine knew, who was a mail man and was smoking a joint while delivering the mail,he dropped the joint between his legs and then looked down and bowled over a row of mail boxes outside an appartment complex.

I'm also would not be surprised if the exhaust from the tractor or mower didn't have a toxic cross effect with the marijuana.

My state has legalized pot and a zoning issue that has become a big problem is that the smell from the pot plants is cross toxic with car exhaust,so the growing fields must either be in a green house or a certain number of hundreds of yards from the open road where there are cars.

And areas well off the beaten path would make it easy for marijuana plants to be stolen, and would harken us back to the days of pot prohibition where growers would sit in state forests all day guarding there pot plants with rifles.

You mean that the pot gets you a lot higher when it is near exhaust fumes?

I don't know if it gets you higher or not, from local newspaper articles dealing with pot grows and town zoning laws, the mix of fumes is toxic, whether that enhances the high,I can't say.I wouldn't try it to find out.

After you replied, I think I figured out a possibility other than just get you high. If you smoke a cigarette right after using Clorox to clean with, it leaves a similar taste in your mouth as if you just mixed Clorox with another cleaning product like vinegar or ammonia.

Where did the phrase Bogart that joint come from and what does it mean? Also every youngster knows the krabby patty from any Spongebob episode but who is Krabby Patty? The grouchy owner of that little seafood restaurant down the street? Just thought I'd make a funny joke!

To "bogart" a joint is to monopolize it rather than taking just one hit, and passing it around to the other folks in the room, around the campfire. There was a song about it on the soundtrack of the movie "Easy Rider".

I never tried that,I did used to smoke, don't recall any odd experiences after cleaning.

I guess 'hot knives' were after my time. Just now googled it . Heating butter knives and placing hash on them, or between two hot knives. Or other smokables.

But I was well acquainted with "bongs". But you don't seem to see, nor hear about, bongs anymore for some reason. :)

When you “bogart” something, you keep it for yourself and prevent others from getting that “something.”

It was used for more than just joints.

Are you kidding? Everytime I have went into a cigarette store to buy tobacco, I always see bongs for sale marked "For tobacco products only." The only reason I haven't seen a bong in the past few months is I have had to use the drive thru.
