Among the theories include that maybe she is from the future who was sent back in time to key moments in history to stop climate change

There are many amusing things about humans. One of them is that conspiracy theories are worth consideration when they fit one's belief system, but are foul rubbish when they don't.

Or who knows, there could be a zipper somewhere on her person where if you pull it you'll find Jackie Chan!

So Greta physically resembles an ancestor or distant relative.  It happens.

Joking aside.

The girl in the old photograph (who is seen panning for gold in the Yukon during the goldrush) must have been mid teens (circa Thunberg's age now). Unless she died of frontier hardships in the goldrush she likely lived another fifty years or more after that.

So it might be possible that she could be identified as someone's Canadian grandma who died in circa 1950. Probably not an actual close blood relative of Greta Thunberg- but of similar Nordic stock.

Or: Greta’s image could have been superimposed over the actual face of the girl in the picture.

Or: Maybe not
