China has sent warplanes almost every day in January to conduct military exercises near Taiwan as preparation for a possible war, reports have claimed. The Chinese military aircraft were spotted entering Taiwanese airspace on a total of 30 different days last month, according to Taiwanese media.

Citing an analyst, the nationalist tabloid claimed the Chinese mainland 'has sent a clear warning by formulating easily understandable words that 'Taiwan independence' means war'. '… and is also making concrete steps to prepare for one if it happens by conducting intensive exercises in the Taiwan Straits,' the outlet added.

It is believed the movement of the Chinese aircraft was a chilling message directed at Joe Biden, with the new President only having been in office a few days and the de-facto Taiwan ambassador being invited to Biden's inauguration.

Why are Americans so quick to be outraged by foreign military action, when America itself is almost permanently at war? Same with empire building, it's a bit rich criticising the Russians and Chinese when the US has been playing that game for years.

This all seems like more posturing to me. A war with Taiwan would be extremely costly to the PRC--especially considering the US would almost certainly be involved, and especially during a pandemic. The PRC leadership is not foolish enough to think that such a war would go well for them. This is just swagger and intimidation.

America's military is always right to do whatever it wants because FREEDOM.
