Biden now has record lead in the latest polls,a 13% point advantage over Trump as his popularity drops to almost a year low.

Americans have become critical of Trump over his handling of the CV pandemic and the police brutality issues that have arised recently.

In June 16 poll,48% of people support Biden and 35% support Trump, the widest margin so far this election year.

I know there are other threads on the election polls but these polls are most up to date and late breaking.

I'm not voting for either of Trump or Biden, but I still think that Trump is going to win this thing in spite of the polls that come out. I don't see any Biden lawn signs anywhere, but seeing plenty of Trump signs even though I live in very liberal Massachusetts. After 2016, I don't trust any polling that comes out. And I don't know anyone who is excited by the prospect of President Biden, and I travel in fairly liberal circles.

I hadn't noticed that. I'm in Hampshire county, but only a stones throw from the Berkshire county line. Small world.

It's close in the battle ground states.

In 2016 the national polling was accurate. Biden is up ten points on where Clinton was at this stage and also has much stronger personal polling.

I just don't see Biden generating the turnout he's going to need to win. He's not that charismatic! Saying you'd vote for him in a poll and actually doing it are two different things.

In my opinion, as long as Mr. Biden doesn't ignore the voters in the "flyover states" the way Ms. Clinton did, he stands a good chance of winning by popular vote and the Electoral College.  It isn't just the wealthy whites and the poor non-whites whose votes count, y'know.

For a Biden victory to occur, the Bernie-or-Busters need to vote for him rather than stay home.

Also, maybe enough GOPers will become disenchanted enough with Trump that they’ll switch to Biden or Jorgensen, or write someone in, to siphon enough votes from Trump to propel Biden to victory.

Do you really see Jorgensen taking votes away from anybody? I'll bet she gets less than a quarter of the votes that Johnson got in 2016. If that.

I don't see Jorgensen taking away votes from Trump or Biden, shouldn't be a factor. To Reagan era republicans libertarians were more of a threat,Trump appeals to more America first nationalism in lower income voters,I don't see a libertarian as a threat to Trump

Libertarians are to conservative to take votes from Biden,I think Jorgensen will get libertarians and that's it.

What will make or break Trump is what happens with CV cases,a big remission will help Trump and a spike in cases will hurt Trump. The rioting and anti police sentiment is so pro Biden Trump will never recover on that, that's Biden's advantage all the way.But if we get a big remission in Covid-19 cases Trump's polling numbers will go way up.

Trump's advantage is the debates.

Biden could have a tragic "senior moment".
