Wow. Def the maga-est thing to tell Indigenous people to “go back where you came from.” What a bunch of morons.

Also, the article mentions this being against the Geneva Convention. What is exactly? Sending in military to harass Indigenous people on their own land? (Canada pulls this BS, too.)

Not sure about geneva convention, apparently there was a supreme court ruling in 1980 declaring that an 1870(?) treaty was violated, and that mt rushmore is a part of the violation of that treaty. Have seen a bunch of different news clips about it in the last few days, including this one with Tom Brokaw, as well as this interview on democracy now with one of the organizers of the demonstration.
