As negotiations continue on Beacon Hill over the police reform bill, there is a measure attached the this bill.

The establishment of "a commission on the status of young black boy and black men". The amendment to form this commission is championed by Rep.Chynah Tyler of Boston and was approved by Mass stare house july 22nd.

The commission would comprise of 21 appointees who would work to improve economic, criminal justice, public safety, housing, health and wellness, fatherhood and mentorship for black men and youth's in the Commonwealth.

The commission would study issues which disproportionately have a negative impact on all black males in Massachusetts.

This has come to light as issues facing black people have come more and more to the forefront after the death of George Floyd on may 25th 2020.
