Well, he *is* machine-gun resistant. That has to count for something...

And... You ever seen a duck that couldn't swim?

Who IS he?

The guy in the Seventies' country novelty song by CW Mccoll about the CB radio craze of that time went by the handle "the Rubber Ducky".

Is THAT who that guy is supposed to be? Or is he some OTHER truck driver (from a movie, or something?) who calls himself "the Rubber Ducky"?

It is Kris Kristofferson as Martin "Rubber Duck" Penwald in the 1978 movie Convoy... which is actually based on the aforementioned song by C. W. McCall.

The other day a young lady coworker got in trouble for getting into a verbal fight with a customer of store we were counting inventory in. She happens to be an extremely cute exotic biracial looking hawtie - but she does have personality issues. Anyway I was imagining myself telling the story to some other guys I work with whom I carpool with- younger guys who happened to be just-out-of-college age. In my imaginary conversation I suggest to them that "she looks like Downtown Julie Brown", the TV personality on MTV in the early 90s. But then it occurred to me that these guys are so young that they might not even know Downtown Julie Brown! And thats not even the 70s, but the 90s to early 2000s!

So, no point in looking for catchy movie quotes from the 1930s, then? Bummer...
