i feel our amuuurican culture is the ultimate throwaway disposable culture, in that we throw away human beings. i will, for all the rest of my days, continue to be the squeaky wheel about this.

I think Greta Thunberg, Queen of Aspies would like you very much! She's someone who sees the need for an overhaul of societal values. So many folk aren't ready to embrace the compassion that would need.

Thank you all for being here.
Everyone should be able to die with dignity, in a soft ,clean ,warm bed, not on the street alone and suffering.

I am saddened to hear of his passing. He lived a rough life and that greatly shortened his time. RIP

It's symbolic, I know - but at the suggestion of a member ASS-P has been un-banned.
He is granted eternal membership of WP.

We have had our bad days here at WP, especially in the last year there have been plenty of them.
Today is the best day for WP of my over 7 years here. If only we could carry some of it forward.

I feel like I've missed some magical info somewhere. Last I recall, someone'd discovered he was a not-bad-off-irl troll getting his rocks off here. I don't understand what changed between that info & the calls to ban him vs now.

I often feel as out of touch here as outside. Parts of threads deleted. People talking around issues a person causes instead of being direct. Referencing past behavior that there isn't a public record of anymore.

This place has enough weird too-long-stuck stickies. Why another? Do all those who die here get stickies? Maybe a generic remember those who passed thread instead?

Walter was real.

I’m glad he was “unbanned.”

He was a rough fellow to get along with—but he didn’t deserve his ultimate fate.

Hopefully, he is at peace now.

Sad news. I'm happy to hear AuntBlabby and other members gave him support. I never had any interactions with Walter, but I remember reading his posts.

I wish we lived in a world where those dealt such a hard blow in life were better looked after.
