Donald Trump says he would strongly consider running again in 2024 if Meghan Markle threw her hat in the ring, saying he’s “not a fan of hers”.
Speaking to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday night, the former President was asked to comment on reports in recent days that the Duchess of Sussex had been networking with Democrat operatives for a possible run for the White House.
According to UK’s Mail on Sunday, the 39-year-old has ambitions to become the first female president, and hopes her and Prince Harry’s bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey will strengthen her support in the US.
“Well I hope that happens, because if that happened then I’d be – I think I’d have an even stronger feeling toward running,” Mr Trump told Bartiromo.
“I’m not a fan of hers, I think that what she talks about the royal family and the Queen – I happen to think, I know the Queen, as you know I’ve met with the Queen, and I think the Queen is a tremendous person and I am not a fan of Meghan.”
His comments echo a similar response he gave to reporters in September last year, when asked about Ms Markle effectively encouraging people to vote for Joe Biden.
“I’m not a fan of hers,” he said at the time. “And I would say this – and she probably has heard that – but I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”

Would Americans vote for Meghan Markle?

I have voted for Kamala Harris in every public election she has entered so far (when she was on my ballot).

I have voted against the former Demander-In-Chief in every public election he has entered so far (when he was on my ballot).

So, to answer your question, 'Yes'.

In fact, the last time I voted a straight Republican ticket was during the first term of the Reagan administration.  I will never make THAT mistake again!

From a historical perspective, 2024 would be a very unfortunate time for her to run.

2025 (when inaugration would occur) is the 250th anniversary of the start of the war of independence, so should she run (and win), there would be a member of the royal family living in the white house at that time... Whether that would have a bearing on people's voting intentions (or on campaigning against her, challenges to her eligibility, etc.) could be interesting to see, and Harry may feel somewhat unwelcome at events commemorating the anniversary should she win.

So ... Mr. Trump is not exactly a fan of a mixed-race woman entering the political arena ... what a surprise ...

 ... not.

Why would American's vote for an ex-LA actress married to royalty from a caste system society.

I see Trump found a way to make the news again by commenting on fringe nonsense.

I feel like there are many women of all races who are more qualified than Meghan Markle....

I mean...for chrissakes! Being President should not be a photo op!

Why would Americans vote for any former actor from a society that has institutionalized social stratification?

By the way ... Ms. Markle was born in Los Angeles, one of the most socially stratified cities in the Western World.

Tell that to our 45th president.

Has she indicated any interest in running ever? The Donald is sounding more senile than ever.

She's gonna run against Biden/Harris as a Democrat?

Lots of rumors out there. I don't think she's been on the record saying she'll run.

https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2020/0 ... -president

She shows great skill at fabricating nonsense to divide people by skin color for the sole purpose of favoring some and blaming others and calling them privileged racists. Her Jussie Smollet-esque interview with Oprah is likely just the start.

With talent like that, she'll likely go far in the Democratic Party!

It would be amusing to see her run just for the inevitable conspiracy theories.

"They already tried to cancel and taint the pure white bloodline of the house of Windsor, now they want to return America to the English monarchy! It's probably George Soros' fault! They're going to take our guns and harvest the blood of christian children!"

Would she even be eligible, given her British citizenship?
