The two suspects, whose identities have been withheld because they are minors, had allegedly been bullying Diego Stolz since seventh grade at Landmark Middle School in Moreno Valley, California.

Video of the incident showed a significantly larger boy confronting Diego on school grounds. The victim has his hands at his sides when the first attacker punches him in the face. The second punches him from behind, and Diego loses his balance, falls and cracks his head on concrete. He never regained consciousness and was taken off life support nine days later, according to family attorney Dave Ring.

The boy’s aunt had filed numerous complaints about bullying before the fatal attack, according to the FOX 11 report, and the family was told the boys would be suspended for a separate incident on the day of the attack. But they were at school, and that had deadly results.

A California judge has decided not to impose a prison sentence on two boys whose bullying and sucker-punch attack led to the death of a 13-year-old classmate in 2019. Riverside County Superior Court Judge Roger A. Luebs ordered each of the juveniles to serve 150 hours of community service.

It saddens be to hear about this still going on in 2021. We have still not evolved above this behavior. They did not deserve to die this way. I survived years of that type of treatment in junior high and high school by my classmates ganging up on me. One or two on one I could stand my own, but not five or ten on one. It only stopped when I moved away.

People wonder why some nice kids snap and do violent things. Bullying at this level greatly changes how one sees others. It can lead to desensitization and dehumanization. I still feel those effects well over thirty years later. It created and developed the evil side of my personality. The thirst for revenge really did not exist before those experiences.

I hope the bullies get the same done to them someday, likely when they wind up in the prison system.

So incredibly sad and evil. Was this some kind of hate crime? Parents and teachers should be held accountable.

Anybody who isn't a white, straight, cis, non-disabled, Christian male should be above the law and above criticism.

Sweden passed anti-hate speech laws for a reason!
