At Least 4 Killed, Including Child, in Business Complex Shooting in City of Orange

A shooting in the city of Orange Wednesday left at least four people dead, including a child, and two others injured, including the suspected shooter, police said.

A police shooting occurred at a business complex, and the department said that the situation had been "stabilized" and that there was no threat to the public.

A female victim was injured with a gunshot wound and in critical condition, police said at a nighttime news conference. The shooter was also in critical condition with a gunshot wound, but Orange police said it was not yet known if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.

I have driven past that place a few times -- 202 W Lincoln Avenue, Orange, CA 92865-1019. It is across a divided four-lane from an apartment complex.

There is a property management service and a financial service in that building, which is square with an open courtyard in the center, where one of the deceased was found.

JFC I know that area too.

It adds another 30 minutes to my commute to drive down Lincoln, but sometimes both the 5 and 91 freeways are jammed and ongoing construction limits my other choices.

The police will give a televised press conference at 10:00 PDT.

So how far is it from 202 Lincoln Ave in Orange to 202 Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim? Based on my memories of only being there a couple of times it isn't that far.

JFC I know that area too.

The one and only time I got lost as a driver was in that area on Lincoln, when the 5 was closed and it was late night after Disney. I was a new driver and got totally turned around backward. I went the wrong way on Lincoln. This was decades before GPS which I don't even use now. I had family in BP at the time.

The sad thing is how true this statement is concerning Psychiatrists and guns and the burdens on society .
These events , seems often times built up tension between parties and people , Covid , has left many stressors on
Society in general . Create all the possibilities that makes these kinda events more common place .

The waiting period to legally purchase a firearm in California is 10 days.

It can take up to 6 months to get an appointment with a good psychiatrist, and only with a referral from a physician.
