Not quite. They are missing a few pieces of nanotechnology yet to be complete. For one thing, a nearly indestructible computer chip that will not succumb to an EMP blast. Currently they can be shielded from it, but that is only a temporary bandaid at best. I have a few idea designs that can potentially solve that issue. All I can say is that it mirrors something found in nature.

Yes, I root for SkyNet to happen someday. It is the next evolution of technology in due time. We will not stay at the top of the food chain forever. It is ignorance to think that we will.

I was just watching The Terminator because it's free on youtube. When one of those robots starts looking for Sarah Connor, it's time to start worrying. Especially if it has an Austrian accent.

I hate soap operas. I like that theme song.

Interesting how it takes CGI to get that limber effect. ASIMO has been around for 20 years now, and it seems like robots are still just as stiff and clunky.

I am rooting for the machines, but not for a SkyNet.

We are the slime-mold from which a machine civilization might climb. Not rooting for the machines would be like all parents wanting all their children to fail.

Instead of SkyNet, how about Colossus?

I'd say Colossus is definitely preferable.

Hah!! I could only say that over at "Post a blatant lie". I'm married, there are some situations where I wouldn't even have control of the fan!
