I am convinced--and have been for years--that the Earth would be/will be far better off without its allegedly "superior species." We humans have done far more damage than any of our predecessors or current cohabitants, and perhaps the greatest sin is that a lot of us know it and remain indifferent, make excuses, or adamantly deny it so they can continue to profit from it.

Why didn’t the officers try mace or a taser before shooting?

I hate it when animals get killed because of some idiot human. Kinda like a runway Elephants. Lifetime Of abuse, they finally stomp out their 'trainers,' then deservedly run away, and then are undeservedly shot down.
