Videos Show Neo-Nazis Waving Flags, Chanting Slogans, Assaulting Driver in Florida Suburb

Quote:
Videos and photos shared to social media show a gathering of neo-Nazis in a Florida suburb, where the far-right demonstrators chanted antisemitic slogans, waved Nazi flags and appeared to assault a driver who confronted them.

Twitter users began posting videos of the neo-Nazi rally after they passed by on Saturday. Daily Kos reported that the antisemitic and racist event took place about five to 10 minutes south of the University of Central Florida, within the Alafaya and Waterford Lakes region of the Orlando metro area.

The demonstrators were chanting "the Jew is the devil," "Jews rape children and drink their blood" and "Jews brought slaves here," according to AntiSemitism.org.

Twitter user DawneyNP posted a clip from the rally appearing to show a driver getting assaulted by the neo-Nazi

Another StopAntisemitism.org reported that the far-right demonstrators also chanted anti-Black slogans. Another Twitter user reported that the group made "monkey noises" at a Black woman passing by.

A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Office told Newsweek in a Sunday email that they received calls about the demonstration shortly after noon on Saturday. About 20 people were demonstrating as part of the neo-Nazi group.

"The group, assembled on public property, was reported by witnesses to be wearing clothing with 'Nazi' insignia and yelling profanities and anti-Semitic slurs at vehicles passing by," the spokesperson said.

"At one point, a physical fight ensued between a passerby and several of the demonstrators.

On Sunday, a similar neo-Nazi demonstration appeared to be taking place on a bridge over Interstate 4 between downtown Orlando and the Walt Disney World Resort. Scott Thuman, chief political correspondent for the Sinclair Broadcast Group, posted photos of Nazi signs hung over the highway.

The fact that these social misfits even have the courage to crawl out from under their rocks to proclaim their hate is proof that they've been emboldened by the extreme lurch to the lunatic right in the conservative movement. If that isn't so, then why are too many in the GOP leadership silent in this matter?

Same reason Democrats supported and even sponsored the looters and the arsonists who destroyed America in the summer of 2020. In other words, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Democrats openly shows support for civil rights protesters therefore the Republicans have no choice but to embrace violent white supremacists who openly espouse support for a "white ethnostate"? Gotcha.

Quote:
Orange County Sheriff John Mina announced this week that he expects three people to be charged following violence at a Nazi rally in Florida over the weekend.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Mina said that three people are expected to be charged.

“Obviously, we went out there and again, we have to balance everyone’s right to freedom of speech, which can be very difficult for us, especially in those situations of hate speech,” Mina said. “And we know people in our community are upset by that. Our deputies are upset by what we saw this weekend.”

The sheriff's office was able to identify some of the people with the help of the Anti-Defamation League and Jewish community leaders.

DeSantis spokesperson wonders if rally was false flag
Quote:
While various officials in the state condemned the protest, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came under fire as his spokesperson expressed doubt over whether the demonstrators were actually antisemitic, and raised the possibility that they were in fact Democrats trying to make the governor look bad.

The rallies were held near the campus of Central Florida University, which has a large Jewish student body, and near Disney World.

However, a spokesperson for DeSantis declined to speak out against the rallies, saying that they may be liberal plants, in a since-deleted tweet.

“Do we even know they are Nazis,” Christina Pushaw wrote, according to Floridapolitics.com.

Despite deleting the tweet, she continued to retweet those who agreed with that position, and she later stuck to her guns, telling Newsweek that she only deleted the tweet “because it was attracting trolls and abuse.”

The Florida rallies were not the only antisemitic incidents in the United States over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, a Jewish school and synagogue in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood were vandalized.

Debra Silverstein, a local alderman whose office is located next to the synagogue, said police were still investigating the incidents. “No official pronouncement has been made on a possible motive, but these have all the hallmarks of hate-based crimes,” she said.

In Washington, DC, police arrested a 34-year-old man named Geraldo Pando, who was suspected of spraypainting several swastikas around the entrance to Union Station, an Amtrak station near Capitol Hill, early Friday morning.

The highway overpass location of the Florida rallies resembled similar demonstrations in Austin, Texas, in October in which a group called the Goyim Defense League hung a sign that said “Vax the Jews” from an overpass.

As of late, their silence is deafening.

Nazis aren't socialists though.

"'Let's go Brandon' written on sign next to Nazi symbols & flag," he added in a follow-up post, including another photo. "Let's go Brandon" is a slogan adopted by critics of President Joe Biden, signifying "F*** Joe Biden."

It's like being a anti-masker is associated with being a anti-vaxxer
A lot of these nazis are coincidentally Trump supporters.

I was watching an American news item on TV how in Florida nazis are going door to door passing leaflets trying to recruit members.

The Trump years enabled and emboldened many of these groups who now merge into the MAGA mob at republican rallies, It's relevant that people with confederate flags and Nazi paraphernalia are welcome at MAGA/QAnon rallies.

Yet when confronted with that fact, Trump voters readily deny those people are part of their crowd.

Never seen one image of confederate flag or neo-Nazi or openly racist placard being removed from a Trump rally
