There were reports that Trump and his family were watching the rioters attack the Capitol building carrying placards like "Hang Pence". Trump junior was visibly cheering the rioters on.

Image

Trump Jr organised a watch party, with the Van Morrison song ‘Gloria’ playing in the background while a celebratory Trump Jr praises “patriots who are sick of the b*llshit”.

Both Trump Jr and his girlfriend, Trump advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle, call for the protesters to “do the right thing” and “fight”. Eric and Ivanka Trump were also present, as was White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Following the incident, Trump himself refused to condemn the violence until over 36 hours had passed, initially releasing a timid call for the protesters to go home peacefully.

Fairly sure Pence loved that

Mike Pence may get my vote in 2024 if he runs for POTUS, and for the simple fact he eventually stood up to Trump.

The fact he is not Biden is also in his favor.

Although if Harris also runs for POTUS, I may have to flip a coin.

So. You'd vote for a a,member of the Christian right, simply because he took on Trump? Wow!

This figures into something I said the other day: The worst damage Trump has done to this country is in the wake of his presidency. We're legitimizing bad people and institutions simply because the appeared to be against Trump.

It's called fighting fire with fire. I am sure Californians know you have to backburn brush/leaf/branches to prevent a full blown wildfire.

In the same way voting Pence will prevent the return of the wildfire called Trump + MAGA inc + QAnon

Lol all the vilification and demonizing of Pence goes right out the window. What's even more ironic is all the conspiracy theory speculating which took place in '16-18 that Trump was just a front man who was going to resign in order to put Pence in the presidency. Now these folks actually want Pence as president.

It shows the state of America doesn't it. Pence is a right wing stick in the mud who made a big deal about Colin Kaerpernick and pretends to be a devout christian. Yet he's still 100x preferable to the orange mental case whom is still loved by 75 million idiots.

We are at the worst moment in the history of American democracy since the Civil War.

And only one group of people can remove the knife from the throat of American democracy. That one group is Republican pols who reject Trump.

Politicians who I cant stand...but who will do the right thing...and reject Trump are our slender, but only hope. Thats what it all comes down to.

I wouldnt promise to vote for Pence. But I certainly applaud him. And I hope his example will rally other GOP pols to abandon the cult of Trump.

Progressive, Middle of the Road, or as reactionary as Pense himself...none of us Americans has any choice but to hope that Pense's example will spread to other GOP pols.

The GOP is descending into being a criminal organization out to put a South American style junta dictator in charge of the nation. Only GOPers themselves can stop the descent. They can remain GOP, and as "Christian Right" as they want. As long as they restore their party to being an actual political party loyal to the Constitution and reverse the descent.

I think QAnon is a trojan horse of the christian right. Many conservative christians are already primed to believe stupid theories and Trump makes it worse by happily (and irresponsibly) re-tweeting QAnon misinformation.

Absolute insanity, isn't it? Playing the lesser of two evils game is what paved the way for Trump in the first place. Unfortunately, they will never understand that.

It's freedom of choice isn't it? I might ridicule the 75 million Trump lovers but they can do what they like.

The Leadership of the Republican

Party Has surely Become A Pandemic

Of ItS Own, With The Censure of

The Only Two Folks With
Any Real Backbone With

Truth for Democracy, When it Comes
to Leading the Republican Party Now

Out of the Dungeons oF Lies To Destroy

Democracy Now, And Hell No, i Will Never
Support Mike Pence, i Haven't Forgotten How

Dangerous

His Policies

Are to American
Freedoms Now;

And True, the Fact
That He Waited This
Long to Publicly Announce

Trump is Both Wrong and A Liar,

Still Spells A Very Weak Backbone,

if Only

A Quiver
Left at the End
of What Has Become
Republican Leadership Now...

What Is A Country With Lies:

Falling
Falling
Failing Again...

That made absolutely no sense.

That being the case I found Pence's running mate.
