They are clearly bent on removing any doubt that they're committing war crimes. Well, hopefully their dictator will be held accountable, though whatever fate awaits him when the dust settles is too kind.

He has the most nuclear weapons of any country that says it wouldn't happen.

It doesn't matter if he has the most. He's intelligent enough to know launching his nukes wouldn't end well even for Russia, so any threats to that effect are bluffs. Besides, there are multiple ways in which he can be held accountable to people of all kinds (including his own people) that doesn't involve most of the rest of the world going to war with him. We can start by ensuring that Russia doesn't actually make gains on the world stage, and in fact, ends up being worse off for this war.

With that said, there is no way it will be humanly possible for Putin to experience even a fraction of the suffering he has inflicted on others. He had best hope that Hell doesn't exist, because if it does, eternity is not looking good for him.

Yep.
My point was that no one can bring that psychopath to justice.

In 1939, after capitulation of Warsaw, the Nazi were opening fire at evacuated civilians.
These are terrorist methods.
But I have faith in Ukrainians. Terrorists get confused when encountering genuine courage. I've experienced it when some lowlife tried to rob me.

I said it in another thread already. Such statements imply that an average Russian soldier is willing to massacre civilians...
I don't think your argument would hold any water.

There are numbers of unwilling ones. That's why low morale.
7 years in prison for refusal to follow orders matter, though, not to mention the risk of a direct shot from an FSB officer.
It was the same during Stalingrad. The scary fight in front of you and even more scary officer aiming at your back behind you.

Seems even FSB has ethics. They tipped off the Ukrainians to Kadirov's Chechen killers coming for Zelensky.

FYI FSB deals with domestic security matters. Foreign intelligence matters are handled by SVR and GRU.

I know GRU is the foreign military intelligence.
The interviewed captured soldiers talk of FSB.
How it is actually organized or disorganized is hard to tell, probably even for the people there themselves.

It would be great if the war criminal's own people turned against him en masse as they did with Mussolini and terminated him. After twenty years in power, it seems most leaders (dictators) leave the rails well behind and cause untold misery and calamity.

Of course, there are leaders who do that from Day One...

Ah, yes I agree. Being hung by a noose made with his own intestines while he's still alive would be too kind of a fate for him. Alas, even that is many times more suffering than he is likely to experience. That is where the afterlife comes in, and for his sake he had best hope the atheists are right about that.

Disagree.
