A "saurapod" (brontosaurus type dinosaur). Found on the grounds of restaurant. China has produced many dramatic fossils lately. Notably feathered dinosaurs and and dinosaur -to- bird transitional forms.

These sort of finds will be more and more common as Lidar technology becomes more sophisticated

This is very fascinating. Maybe China was the first country to have birds.

A fossil from 530 million years ago called "haikouichys" found in China maybe the world's first fish.

China also has living fossils. An 'extinct' tree known as the "dawn redwood", or "dwarf sequoia" was common in fossils in north america (where its giant living relatives live). But in the Forties they found the tree alive and well in valleys in southeast China.

So dinosaurs were healthfood faddists...even then?
