Trump promises he will pardon the 1/6 Insurrectionists if elected.

Trump says he's been giving financial support to some of the Insurrectionists.

Not grasping for straws. It's speaking to his base.

Not exactly going to help him distance himself from January 6th, though. More proof he isn't the least bit worried.

I believe Trump wouldn't be so explicit if he didn't know he's in rather deep trouble.

I doubt very much that he would have made such statements in such a public manner before the raid on Mar-A-Lago.

I do agree that he is "speaking to his base."

Has Trump made an official announcement that he'll be running for potus in 2024? If not then I guess that statement seems to qualify.

Well, that would be the least he could do for them, all things considered.

Hopefully in all this desperate grasping he draws the short straw..

Why should anyone that mounted a violent attack on the US Federal Government & it's employees be given pardons? :? That's not exactly the sort of treatment that domestic terrorists deserve..

I'll take Trump over Biden any day.

Straws these days I can't use because they make them out of paper which make me feel turned insideout inside. Plastic straws I got on with well. Is sad when they change them to ones I can not use.

He says he’s paying them, I’d like to see proof of that.

I would like to see that, too.

Then the DOJ would have more proof that they were in Trump’s employ and acting under his orders when they attempted to overthrow the U.S. government on 2020-01-06.

They did it because they believed in Trump, hence my comment that pardoning them would be the least he could do in return.

Just like people who believe in Hitler, who murder Jews merely for being Jews, should be given a pardon if Hitler returns to power….

Agreeing to commit crimes for trump doesn't make them any less guilty of committing crimes for trump. Why do you think they deserve to be pardoned for attacking the US government & attempting to overthrow it and install an un-elected orange guy as their leader? :?

Am I the only person here who actually reads what people write and responds to what is actually said and not the voices in my own head?
