Interesting aside...that he penned the soundtrack of a film that had to do with autism. First time Ive heard of that movie.

Bacharach was part of the musical soundtrack of my Boomer growing up. During times in the Sixties everything on the radio was either written by Lennon/McCartney, or by Bacharach/David. Or at least it seemed that way.

First became aware of him when he did the soundtrack of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Redford and Newman starred) in circa 1968. But his career began way back in the Fifties.

Though uncredited he helped compose this gem. Theme song for the 1958 cinematic masterpiece..."The Blob"!
