The prosecution's case is based on circumstantial evidence and the presumption of death for the alleged victim.  People are already calling for the death penalty.

In another case, the defendant was caught in illegal possession of classified government documents and showed them to other people lacking proper security clearances.  People are already calling for his acquittal.
