Nurse & Baby Killer Lucy Letby Given Whole Life Sentence
This is utterly dreadful. There are many aspects of this story which are very upsetting. The abuse of power in a nursing role, the gaslighting by Lucy Letby, and of course the sickening abuse, the attempted murders and murders of innocent children.
Thankfully this monster will no longer be a threat to the public.

She's an unusual one. Unlike a lot of serial killers in general, she seems to be a very emotionally childish and unsuspecting, perhaps the most important out of all serial killers in the UK.
It's strange to see such a person end up as one of the few given such a severe sentence. No doubt she will really struggle coming to terms with being in prison until she dies but a sentence she deserves nonetheless.
Dangerous woman who thought too much of herself.

Apparently she said "trust me, I'm a nurse", to a concerned mother, when caught standing over a baby who had blood over its mouth from her abuse.
She also apparently displayed arrogance with regard to her knowledge of neonatal medicine in the trial.
Apparently criminal psychologists mentioned in tabloid publications, have speculated that she may have antisocial personality disorder.

Sort of a young female version of Harold Shipman. That British country doctor guy. Looked like everyone's ideal of your kindly family doctor...who murdered ...how many?....250 plus, of his patients in the Nineties and early 2000s.
Britain sure produces some interesting serial killers.

Yep, I made a thread about Harold Shipman a year or two ago, here on WP. It probably hasn't been bumped in that amount of time, ha.

Her methods of killing were horrific. I think there was also a lot of sadistic curiosity involved on her end and and doing it for enjoyment as much as attention.
The closest as natural said is probably Harold Shipman but Letby is just a lot more "simple". The personality differences between Shipman and Letby are huge. Shipman was arrogant and aggressive but Letby seems weak and emotional while pretending to be a capable adult.
Letby doesn't seem like she will survive long in prison.

Why would you think she is weak and emotional?
I would say the opposite. You'd have to be a monster with barely any emotions to be a serial killer of babies.
Also, she was in a full-time job and had her own house, so I'm not sure why she wouldn't be perceived as grown up.

Her notes she written and the fact she seemed to heavily lean on her parents.
I've seen a lot of outwardly successful people fold like a soggy piece of paper the second their outside their very lukewarm comfort zone.

Apparently she stalked parents of those babies she'd murdered on social media, sometimes sending them well wishes.
I didn't know she leaned heavily on her parents. Maybe you have read something somewhere that I have not?
