US National Archives declassifies UFO files

Well this is fairly big news. In light of congressional hearings. The US National archives have digitised and declassified once classified files on UFOs

The roll out that commenced on August 1st is now complete

Among the findings is a newly declassified letter from the director of the UFO Office established in the 1940s stating that silver orbs have been seen all over the world (this is before the era of satellites, drones)

Actually according to Chris Carter (producer of x files) his idea came from the tv series Dark skies from the 1990s which American UFO conspiracy theory-based sci-fi television series that debuted on NBC on September 21, 1996, and ended on May 31, 1997

X files ran from September 1993 to May 2002 so it would be more accurate to say Carter copied elements of Dark Skies into his later seasons (season 4-11)
