So, while Ukraine and Russia are at war, Israel and Palestine seem to be going that way, here's war no. 3 on the horizon:
Kosovo v Serbia. yay.

Fingers crossed this doesn't escalate. The last Yugoslavian war was horrific enough (in the 1990s)

They saw Israel and Palestine resume fighting, and Georgia and Azerbeijan, so...they decided that they wanted to be like the other kids, and to jump off of the cliff too!

Although now it looks like the EU is resolving this crisis by using diplomacy. I think Serbia wants to join the EU, and them starting a war will directly stop them joining. So they might calm down.

Figured China is keeping a close eye to see if they can get away with storming Taiwan, though. Maybe they're watching all the rest of the conflicts and biding their time.. ensuring the rest of the world, especially the USA, is far too busy with other wars to do much about them doing whatever they want before they make a move.

There's nobody stupider than people. At this critical time in human history when we should be deploying resources WW2 style to restore the Earth, plant trees, clean the water/air, combat climate change.. instead, all these motherf***ers are cranking up the war machines. There goes metal, fossil fuels, manufacturing capacity, labour etc.. straight into the biggest fireworks shows ever imagined that very few people get to actually enjoy. In a just world, the old men making these decisions would be the first to die and young men and women would make peace with each other for the benefit of our species' continued survival. Bunch of f**ktards in charge.

Yes, unfortunately countries in that area- the Balkans I think? are always at each other's throats, it doesn't take much to tip them over the edge.

I totally agree with your paragraph about people being so stupid. Well said. I fear that something big will happen soon to distract us all e.g. a climate event, a severe pandemic etc.

The ONLY thing about war that makes any logical sense whatsoever is it's ability to cause a rapid population decline so that the Earth can do some healing from it's human infestation. However, in order for maximum impact, it's coastal North Americans who need to all die first because we're amongst the most wasteful people to have ever existed - we use far more energy, water, and resources of all kinds than almost anyone else on Earth that's ever lived. Poor people in various parts of the world that aren't using up much in the way of fuel/power/water/minerals/trees/food etc have to die in MUCH higher numbers to restore some sort of balance in the ecosystem. Really, truly, it's the greediest of all of us that needs to go so that everyone else can live in relative harmony with the planet's ability to renew renewable resources. Buuuut, if depopulation is the goal - in order to reduce human consumption of the Earth's goodies - it's the wealthy "developed," nations that are going to do the killing of the people who are best suited to live in proper balance.

So, the human race is pretty screwed in the grand scheme and war isn't going to do that much good towards climate change/balance because the wrong people are likely to die.
