This guy who does "the Caspian Report" seems to know what he talks about.

Iran has cleverly deployed it proxies to put us in check (though not necessarily into checkmate).

But if we can play in Iran's back yard to rile up the "Balachistani seperatists" we might be able to get Iran to fight east ward toward Pakistan...and away from fighting west against Israel, NATO, and the US.
