Val was one of the nicest celebrities that I have ever met at an event. He graciously signed my DVD copy of Real Genius. He could not talk much at the time due to his past throat cancer surgery. When I told him that I really liked his character from the movie, his eyes lit up, he smiled and said it was a fun movie for him to make. R.I.P. Mr. Kilmer, you will be missed.
