No surprise there. Is this news being reported in the US?

I found a Politico article here.

So far, no mention of any evidence that they engaged in any actual illegal activities. It remains to be seen whether there is any evidence that they did more than just visit his island.

Epstein was a wealthy socialite who had thousands of friends and held huge parties. Most likely, it seems to me that only a relatively small minority of these people (though still lots of people -- maybe dozens or perhaps even hundreds, rather than thousands) were involved in his under-age sex ring. On the other hand, I would hazard a guess that maybe tens of thousands of wealthy and/or prominent people, maybe even hundreds of thousands, have attended at least one social event held by Epstein, either on his island or elsewhere.

It wouldn't surprise me if the specific people mentioned in the recent news stories were, in fact, participating in illegal sexual activity. But merely visiting Epstein's private island, or otherwise meeting with him, does not constitute sufficient evidence of that.

If indeed they are guilty, I hope more and better evidence can still be found.

EDIT: Looked at two non-U.S.A.-based news stories, from the Guardian and Al Jazeera. Still no mention of any evidence that these people participated in Epstein's crimes, as distinct from just meeting with him for one reason or another.
