Federal Probe Launched Into Baltimore City Schools Over ‘Virulent’ Anti-Semitic Harassment
Quote:
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has initiated a Title VI investigation into Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) following a complaint alleging a pattern of anti-Semitic discrimination and harassment. The investigation will examine claims that the school district has tolerated a hostile environment for Jewish students, with alleged incidents involving both students and a teacher.
According to a complaint filed with the OCR, BCPS is accused of permitting “egregious and persistent discrimination” at several schools within the district.
The allegations include a teacher reportedly threatening to “go all Nazi” on students and directing Nazi salutes at a Jewish student. The complaint claims that BCPS's own investigation confirmed the teacher's misconduct, yet no disciplinary action was taken.
The complaint also details alleged harassment by non-Jewish students, including performing Nazi salutes, creating Nazi graffiti, and making anti-Semitic statements such as “6 million [Jews] was not enough,” and “all Jews should die.”
The complaint alleges that Jewish students have reported feeling unsafe and unable to focus on their studies as a result of these incidents and the school system's alleged failure to intervene.

To whatever extent these allegations are true, this is indeed serious anti-Jewish bigotry and harassment of Jews. We need it to be stopped.
Unfortunately, under the Trump administration, the valid defense of Jews against this kind of harassment is being used as an excuse to crack down on protests against the genocide in Gaza.

The antisemitism card is being used so often and not only by the Trump administration that true claims of antisemitism are increasingly being looked at in three basic categories
1. Thought of as a hoax or oversensitivity
2. Wondering if it is a hoax or oversensitivity
3. Eye rolling
In other words how accusations of racism are often viewed now.
That people can not agree about what antisemitism is not helping.

Agreed, this is a big problem.
