A couple of my relatives have Advantage plans. They have lots of problems getting things approved. Also, one of them has a 200 mile round trip to go to the doctor.

I have a supplemental plan. I don't need authorization and can see any doctor that will take me.

supplemental plans sure are pricey. I hadda quit cable and several other things to afford it.

That's true, but not only do you not have to have some corporate type approve your procedures, the max out of pocket is less expensive.

I have a general rule in life that if something is being heavily promoted (like Medicare Advantage) then it's probably a bad deal.
