BNP website the most popular in British politics

A website run by the far right British National Party is the most visited website of any UK political party, with more hits than all other parties put together, a survey has found.

Perhaps the electorate are seeing sense, at last?

Political correctness is BS. The sad thing is that the BNP use this phrase against anyone who disagrees with them. F**k all politicians! - there all b**tards!. At least the idiots that run our country are a 'lesser evil' than the hate mongering f**kers of the BNP.

Precisely my point. As it stands, that argument sorta makes sense. Whereas if we applied a modicum of sense to it, we'd all laugh at that.

I suspect what would happen is absolutely nothing, knowing the BNP. They are too incompetent to do anything, read what Private Eye has said about them on the councils they have seats on. They didnt understand that a vote had been called on their own motion for heavens sake.

Clearly, they are competent enough to put together a website that gets more hits than the Labour and Conservatives sites combined. You must remember, too, in not having the finance of the big parties, that those you criticise in their roles on local councils are not professional politicians. They are new to the game; but that shouldn't detract from the fact that many of their policies are popular. Realistically, they aren't ready to govern the country -- not by a long shot -- but they are an important part of the democratic process. They are the only party who actively speak what most of us are thinking with regard immigration, and their activists risk being imprisoned for doing us that service. That indicates the kind of integrity that's sadly lacking elsewhere in politics.

It gets more hits because its blocked on lots of computers, rather than being a website of good quality. Lets face it, anyone can make a website, and the BNP are not as cash strapped as you would like to suggest. The hits on the website are from two main demographics, the poor, dim and uneducated, and people in affluent areas that looked out of curiosity (yes I did look at their website). Just because a large amount of people agree with a policy doesnt make it right, it just shows ignorant people can be manipulated. They are a part of the democratic process, but I wouldnt call them any more important than the green party. As for immigration, they go way too far. Yes we need to secure our borders and so on, but not go bashing people on grounds of colour of skin. Immigration does benefit our ecomomy btw, the leechs are more often the BNP members.

The last thing we want to do is silence them because that defeats the point of a democracy. Free speech is a wonderful thing as it allows them to make fools of themselves time and time again. Problem is that their rhetoric fuels the kind of small minded bigotry that is spouted by newspapers such as the Daily Mail.
As for immigration, F**k their attitude and F**k every small minded 'little-englander'. The UK - especially the south east would fall apart economically if it wasn't for cheap migrant labour - FACT!. It's a tragedy that people who come here to work hard and better themselves are then exploixted by their bosses and treated as second class citizens by others.
All political parties 'play' this like a cynical game. The mainstream ones maintain the current status-quo so that they get angry reactions from an ignorant public so then they can come out with policies come election time that claim to 'Get tough' and sort it all out.
Yes we need limits on immigration. we are a small island and our infrastructure can only take so much. We need a balanced and fair approach that respects all people. Unfortunatley it is not in the interests of any one political party vying for power to be 'balanced and fair'.

You're mixing fact with speculation, Hadron:

Doesn't make it right, true enough. But it certainly makes it worthy of debate. As for your bit about ignorance and manipulation, it would be quite easy to level that allegation at you. Afterall, all that you and that autodidact chap have done is disgorge the usual litany of state-inculcated crap. Like it or not, lots, if not most, of the British population are sick of our country being swamped with immigrants. Even the immigrants who've settled here are sick of it, because they see this country changing from the democratic and free ideal to which they were originally attracted, to some crime-ridden multicultural-dump which increasingly resembles the third-world hell-holes from whence they originally came.
Hadron wrote:

That's a matter of opinion, and the question that really needs to be answered is not that one, but of benefit to our society overall.

Yes really! - Oh haven't you heard - the BNP is a fascist party!
Let's just say for arguement's sake that they are competent enough for goverment (ha!) If they did get in they would rid the country of anyone that they felt wasn't british and/or a burden to the state.

As someone who has presumably never had the misfortune to live in a real 'third-world hell hole' you should S.T.F.U.

By the way, I can't stand the media and hate television and political parties to tiny little pieces. I THINK FOR MYSELF much to my own estrangement from our culture.

The real fascists are those who are going to take our fingerprints, scan our irises, then stick all that in an ID card. They're the ones who are surreptitiously compiling a DNA database for the whole population.

Agreed. But there are many different types of fascist! Those who admit it like the BNP and those who favour the softly-softly approach like Labour and the Tories. The ID thing is baaaad news.
