A generation ago, the idea of depression among preschoolers and elementary school-age children was virtually unheard of. I think it might just be more diagnosed. I can certianly see, when I look back on things I liked as a kid I was depressed. Like, anyone remember that Swanny-Swan song from The Lorax. It was rather Gothy.
