Quote:
Damaging misconceptions about autism in Wales mean 17% think children with the condition are "simply badly behaved," new research has found.

The National Autistic Society Cymru (NAS Cymru) said 43% thought most people with autism had special ability in maths and art, for example.

NAS Cymru attributed this to the "continuing endurance of the Rain Man stereotype," following the 1988 film.

It is starting an awareness campaign on autism, which impairs communication.

A broader range of propaganda. I read the related links, overall far better than America.

Still, reading between the lines, get them off the dole and into jobs.

Get money for a Government department of buracratic oversight of Autism affairs, more state employees.

Half truths, what some think, who? Are people really too dumb to count cards?

Blackjack is a hard way to make a living. Twenty out of fifty-two cards are worth ten or eleven, most deal four deck, so eighty out of two hundred and eight. If less than forty pass in the first hundred, the remainig is ten, eleven rich, but the dealer is taking from the same pile. The odds of 20, 21, in two cards goes up. It is a narrow margin. It hardly beats the house vig. A Vegas myth, that people beat the house by counting cards, and then when it is right, upping their bets.

If you play for that long, it will cost lots, and if you up the bet, with the dealer pulling from the same pile, it will cost lots more. If it worked you would never hear of it, it is a sucker bet. It is like bet six or eight on the comeout in craps, odds are a seven, so you will lose maybe seven out of ten times. Pass-nopass is near even money.

Odds never change, but probabilities do. I read longer patterns, red, black, red, red, black, black, red, red, red, it is time to bet black, and to back that with a double bet. The odds are 50-50 not counting green, but the probilities of a string of five reds is unlikely, and the likehood of black returning in the next two almost certien. Watch the pattern for a hundred times, patterns run in cycles, chop rarely has runs in it, it reverses, but then they are runs, three to one side, three to the other, and I have made some good hits when eight blacks end and the cycle is long, and bet red, let it ride, and three reds is a good thing.

I play for $1 till high-low, odd-even, red-black, is out of cycle, then make a few large bets. The wheel also has better chairs, with backs. Ones and zeros can only form so many patterns. I read patterns.

It is the same thing I look for in art.

I find it demeaning that people think we have special skills in math, or art. Or that a string of numbers or colors has to us the sound and coherent pattern of music, or the sound of a cash register.

If it were so, any of us could loot a system based on random probability.

I cash out a few hundred at a time, and try to leave before security figures out I am leaving with $1000 of their money. Casinos do not like winners, they do not care how, they will get rid of you. On a good hit I leave with the chips. When I reach for a cigarette, a big chip falls in my coat.

Autisum is a communication problem, which we do not have here. Soon millions will be online, on WP, and this whole planet Earth is a casino. Digital is changing the world, the old ways do not work, the new ways are just being formed, and media an communication seem naturals for us.

We can produce the rich content, that brings the ads, and can narrow cast, welcoming the next distraught mother that has just learned about her child, and we have been down that road many times. WP is mass and personal.

We all march to a different drummer, each to their own, scattered, yet we cover every spot that new people could arrive, with like people, with mutual understanding. We do not have to get them to join the Party, convert to the Religion, ASD is for life, and we are the only honest game in town.

How do we gain this endless power and wealth? Just be supportive to each other, and welcoming to the new people.

Then let it ride.
