Quote:
A drunken Halloween reveller in Germany found his costume was a little too realistic when he fell asleep on a train and was mistaken for a corpse.

Fellow passengers thought the man, who was dressed as a gore-covered zombie, had been murdered and called the police.

Police in the northern town of Bad Segeberg revealed how the 24-year-old had fallen into a drunken slumber on his way home from a Halloween party in Hamburg.

Believing his hands and face were smeared with blood, passengers alerted officers after getting no response from him.

A first aid team which was called to the scene soon cleared up the confusion, however.

Police told the man to remove his make-up, after which he was allowed to continue his journey.

Police spokeswoman Sikle Tobies said: "Bad Segeberg is in a rural area, and Halloween isn't very well known there.

"So people weren't expecting anyone to be dressed up in the train."

lol, the Irish need to invade Germany and introduce the holiday properly.
I was posting with someone in England and she was complaining they don't celebrate Halloween there, she was planning to go to Ireland to see what they do.

That must have been a real good makeup job.

Why didn't anyone check the vital signs? It seems common sense to me, if someone is laying comatose in a subway, check for signs of a pulse and their breathing.

"I'm not dead yet!" Sorry, that made me think of that scene from Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail.

It can be convincing sometimes. Someone in my car club dressed as a zombie hunter for a party.

We do, just not with the degree of fervour other places do. Shops have been stocking halloween merch since september, and most pubs and clubs have a themed night, not to mention the entire town of whitby becoming one big goth-fest. Send your friend to Whitby.

Devster, that was nice work on the fake wound. It sounded like the plot of a bad horror film, what happened to that guy in the news.

They should make a movie based on it, but the people on the train freak out when he wakes up and try to kill him.

Shadesofme, no offense, but I think you missed the part where I said it sounded like the plot of a bad horror film.

My plot did sound like a bad horror film.
