8 and 9 Year Old Boys Charged With Rape

Beyond Belief. I cannot begin to imagine how the mothers of these two boys must feel. My heart goes out to her.

Eight and nine-year-old boys charged with rape

ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) - Three young Georgia boys are in custody today in the alleged kidnapping and rape of an 11-year-old girl. The boys, ages 8 and 9, are accused of attacking the girl in the woods near a suburban apartment complex where they all had been playing. Acworth, Georgia, police say the attack happened Thursday and the girl's mother reported it to authorities Sunday. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the boys are charged with rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment and sexual assault. Prosecutors say they haven't decided whether to charge the boys as adults. Acworth is 30 miles northwest of Atlanta in the city's fast-growing outer suburbs.

I think the parents should be accountable too. Children don't just rape other children. They haveto be taught.

i have no idea how it is really, but i can very well imagine that it is far from how it is presented. the boys could just possibly inappropriately joke with some hysterical girl who said it to her hysterical mother. did they actually penetrated her? hard to imagine. but if so, they deserve to be charged as adults.

No Never. They are very young children, not adults. They would not instinctually know how to rape her. they ahd to have learned it some how.

these articles are very lame. did the medical examination actually confirm the rape? or it was just what the girl said? ok, the thing about them being charged as adults, i take that back

I'm having difficulty wrapping my mind around this. How exactly does an eight or nine year old rape someone? I thought puberty was a little later... I mean, certain plumbing has to be operating, you know what I mean?

Nonetheless I find this pretty reprehensible. Where are they getting these ideas? Why weren't they supervised? What the hell is wrong with those kids?

Like i've been saying, they had to learn it somewhere.

Their parents didn't have to be the ones to teach them, not in this day and age. Access to the TV, Internet, and other information makes kids more then capable of discovering about rape and sex. Where I live, it's common knowledge around children as young as six, same as it is for those who are sixteen.

Look at what's on daytime TV: CSI, Law and Order, ect. shows like these paint a picture of how to rape women, and how to cover your tracks.

I don't know. There are speculations that puberty and/or sexuality can be awakened or hastened. Yes, it might have been to do with supervision to some degree. But predators and their impact have been reported to have become organized and sophisticated with the power in the technology of the Internet.

Rape can be committed with "tools" and not necessarily body parts too. Even with perverted men, they can't always "rise" to the occasion, so to speak and will use objects. And that's rape.

The parents should not be held accountable. As far as behavior like this is concerned sometimes it's genetic or there is something wrong at birth. Some kids will turn out bad in spite of the parent's best efforts.

As far as the sex is concerned, kids at eight or nine can pick it up from a number of sources including other kids, television, the internet, books.

Were the parents of these boys watching them?

I say the parents, if the boys are convicted, should send them to a psychiatrist just to make sure they will not do it again. What made these boys do this sort of thing?

Television, parents, friends, and so on.

If these boys did do such a thing, they must be punished with, I don't know, a year's grounding and deprivation of toys.

God. What next?

I'd like to know why the eleven year old couldn't fight off an eight year old and a nine year old.
